Town of Austin Completes Economic Development Office Management Group

The Metropolis of Austin Economic Enhancement Office (EDD) is delighted to announce the remaining recruitment of its leadership crew with the choosing of David Gray as Assistant Director and Susana Carbajal as Deputy Director.

David Grey as Assistant Director will oversee the Creative and Cultural Ecosystem, which features the Cultural Arts Division, Heritage Tourism Division, and Music & Enjoyment Division, as properly as the communications crew.

David Gray, Assistant Director

David initially joined EDD in March 2020 as the department’s Public Info & Promoting Plan Manager and set up the department’s to start with centralized communications team. Susana Carbajal, Deputy Director

Sylnovia Holt Rabb, Director

Sylnovia Holt Rabb has virtually 25 yrs of experience in accounting and monetary management by means of non-profit organizations and nearby govt. In 2000, Sylnovia started her job Town of Austin in the Neighborhood Housing and Neighborhood Progress Division as the Fiscal Manager. In 2009, Sylnovia transitioned to the Economic Development Division as the Money Manager. She has served on the Govt Group as Assistant Director (2014) and Deputy Director (2019), and Director (2020). She leads revolutionary applications that enhance the prosperity of Austinites, enterprises, and various neighborhoods, producing a cultural and financial environment that enhances the vitality of the community.

 During her tenure, Sylnovia was appointed as a Daniel Rose Fellow, City Land Institute Rose Middle for Public Management.  As fellow, Sylnovia, together with a few other colleagues, centered on equitable economic development especially all around compact enterprises in community of shade. Sylnovia is a graduate of Florida A&M College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business enterprise Administration.
